The InnovateHER Challenge is a national competition aimed at unearthing products and services that impact and empower the lives of women and families through local business competitions that culminate in a live pitch final round in Washington D.C. 

A local Colorado competition was held on Nov. 19, 2015 in Pueblo, CO where one winner where be selected and nominated to compete in the national competition on Mar. 16 and 17 2016 in Washington D.C., with up to ten finalists competed for the top three cash prizes totaling $70,000 provided by Microsoft. The InnovateHER Challenge provides an opportunity for entrepreneurs to showcase products and services that:

  • Have a measurable impact on the lives of women and families
  • Have the potential for commercialization
  • Fill a need in the marketplace

In addition to receiving a variety of gift prizes, winner received a $500 cash prize. Finalists included:

Value Care Health Clinic (Colorado Springs)
A community based medical practice, providing family primary care to women and their children while improving the overall medical experience for families needing care. Learn more.

Offering a lightweight, water-proof alternative to a traditional cast or support brace, allowing women to maintain a better level of activity in their daily lives. Learn more.

Champion Business Services Inc. (Aurora)
Assists veteran women in transitioning back into civilian employment while utilizing the training provided to create unique opportunities for veterans to help veterans. Learn more.

Jazzie Beans LLC (Littleton) 
Helping mothers by providing a solution to the constant battle over toddlers and thrown or spilled sippy cups. Learn more.
Focusing on the aging "baby boomer" population, they offer assistance to seniors and their caregivers, predominately women in every aspect of transitioning to assisted living, downsizing and more. Learn more.

QB Labs (Denver) 
Transforms wearable tech as we know it, to empower physicians, trainers and physical therapists to evaluate women patient's progress and improved treatment outcomes for a variety of quality of life needs. Learn more.

Delivers comfort food in the form of brownies to keep families and loved ones in communication when they are separated. Learn more.
Creating a training program to offer life skills, industry training and flexible employment opportunities for women in the hospitality industry. Learn more.
